Nuclear data development at the European Spallation Source

Transport calculations for neutronic design require accurate nuclear data and validated computational tools. In the Spallation Physics Group, at European Source, we perform shielding neutron beam to help deployment of instrument suite current high brilliance (top) moderator, as well intensity bottom currently under study facility. This work includes providing best available in addition improving models tools when necessary. this paper present status these activities, which include a set thermal scattering kernels reflector, structural materials, development new beryllium considering crystallite size effects, nanodiamonds, liquid hydrogen deuterium based on path integral molecular dynamics, use software package NCrystal assist framework HighNESS project.
